Online Tutoring for Math 101
Course Description
Math 101 teaches beginning mathematics to struggling students in grades 1 and higher. Note that we do not teach students younger than 1st grade in this course. There are multiple curriculum levels, and skills taught will vary based on students who enroll. Students are placed at the appropriate level based on pre-testing and plan selected. Direct Instruction lessons build sequentially so students advance only as they show mastery.
Students will learn: numbers and number sense, counting skills (including skip counting), place value, addition and subtraction, computational fact fluency, geometric shapes, math vocabulary, single-step problems and basic problem-solving strategies.
